This is of course because events like these can damage or diminish the image of the Chinese government. But the fact is that most people who want to surf these sites only have "entertainment" in mind, and are not political activists trying to overthrow the government. We just want to chat with friends and family overseas, watch silly videos, and upload pictures to show our friends.
